Weekend Update

I guess I'll start with Thursday night. Sarah and I rode from work to Red Hook Brewery for the first movie night of the summer - National Lampoon's Vacation. The ride was only 10.5 miles but it was my best ride yet! I'm really beginning to like cycling now that my butt isn't in constant pain! We met up with Hans, Karin, Charity, Allan, Gretchen, Owen and Charity's friend Emily for dinner before the movie. Matt then joined us on the lawn for the flick. It was still a little chilly and wish I would have brought another blanket.

On Friday I got my hair cut and highlighted! This is a very exciting thing because I only do this about 2 times per year. My friend Stephanie always does an excellent job.

On Friday night Karin & I headed up to her family's cabin for the weekend. We made our traditional stop at the Monroe Fred Meyer for food. We were both exhausted and fell asleep while watching Stardust. Saturday morning Hans drove up to join us. Sarah was suppose to join us but had some work to do back home...we missed you Sarah! We made lunch and packed it down to the Skykomish River so we could sit in the river and relax. After my struggles of walking on the rocks and falling into the river a couple times, I was able to get my lounge chair set up and proceed to burn my legs...I believe this is the worst burn I've ever gotten :o( After a couple hours the sky kept getting darker and darker and a huge thunderstorm chased us back to the cabin.

Once safe inside we put together the delicious kabobs Hans brought and had dinner. We then headed into the tiny town of Skykomish and went to the local bar, the Whistling Stop. For the most part we were the only three there. At least we controlled the jukebox and had a pool table. As always we were able to entertain ourselves!

Where did Hans' head go? This really creeps me out!
