After my last triathlon, I started having shoulder issues again like I did back in high school - rotator cuff tendonitis. The pain got so bad at the end of September that I did not race in the Black Diamond Triathlon I was registered for. I have been going to physical therapy and have made great progress. I hope to be at 100% by my first triathlon in June.
In October I took a trip down to Santa Rosa, CA to visit my friends Jim and Donna who I met in 2005 on the Rick Steves' 21 day Europe tour. We had a great time visiting and tasting lots of wine.
Friday October 30th was a huge day in the life of Stephanie - I finally reached goal weight after 2 1/2 years of working towards it. I have lost a total of 60 pounds to date and have kept the weight off - actually under my goal weight.

I'll try working on better before and after pics but this is what I have right now.
November and December running brought some physical issues that took me to physical therapy. My left knee is getting stronger and I barely have pain anymore. My right hip is pain free for months now! I haven't been running too much but I am registered for the Rock n Roll Seattle 1/2 Marathon in June again and my training program starts in 2 weeks!
My brother and Liz got engaged back in February! CONGRATS! They will be getting married August 28th at Lake Wilderness Golf Course in Maple Valley. I'm very excited for them and I am one of Liz's bridesmaids.
Hans and Sarah got engaged also! They will be having a very small ceremony on Vashon Island in April.
I have plan tickets for the end of April to go visit my friend Steve in California! I can't wait to see him and enjoy the sunshine.
For now training continues and my two big races of the year are the 1/2 Marathon and Lake Meridian Olympic Triathlon.
